The Salesforce setup search is primarily meant to address the customer’s needs. The Salesforce setup search is currently limited to a certain setup of components only.
However, Metadata Search focuses on giving the administrators and developers the capability to extensively search the configuration and customization components with a similar search experience as Salesforce setup search. Also, you can see the entire list of the components and can download them in CSV and Excel sheet format.
