The new Send OTP feature has been introduced in version 5.3 to provide additional security for updating forms. This feature restricts users from directly opening update forms and requires them to go through a verification process. Here's how it works:

  • When a client attempts to open an update form, instead of directly accessing the form, a verification screen is displayed like below -

  • An OTP (One-Time Password) is generated and sent to the client via email like below -

  • The client is required to enter the OTP on the verification screen to proceed.
  • Upon entering the correct OTP, the update form is unlocked and opens for the client.

This new Send OTP feature adds an extra layer of security to update forms, ensuring that only authorized users can access and make changes to their information. By leveraging email-based OTP verification, the system verifies the identity of the client before granting access to the update form.
