Users may face the issue of icons and static resources not loading for the Metadata Search app (or any other managed app).
When reviewing further with developer tools (JS console) in the browser, there may be errors like "Access to XMLHttpRequestjquery.min.js from origin has been blocked by CORS policy," icons may not load, and export functionality like Export to PDF may not work.
These errors are because of one of the release updates, “Enable Secure Static Resources for Lightning Components. “

- This release update clearly states not to enable it until further notice as it has a huge client impact.
If you are facing the same issue, then please follow the steps - Go to Setup -> Release Updates -> Archived-> Click on the View Update button within Enable Static Resources for Lightning Components (Update) -> Click on Disable Test Run button.
