The "Migrate Now" is designed to migrate existing Files and Attachments from Salesforce to Azure. It provides both flexibility for Migrate Ui and Migrate via Batch 


Core Functionality

  • Migrate Files or Attachments from Salesforce to Azure.
  • Choose between UI-based and Batch-based migration modes.
  • Apply SOQL filters to control which files/attachments and parent records are considered.


Migration Options

After configuring your settings and clicking Search, you'll see a list of matching files:

Option 1: Migrate All
Migrate all displayed files at once.

  • Start Migration (UI):
    • Runs on screen.
    • No file size limit.
    • You must stay on the screen.
  • Start Migration (Batch):
    • Runs in the background.
    • Email sent after completion.
    • Only files ≤ 8.5 MB are supported.

Option 2: Migrate Selected
Select specific rows using checkboxes and migrate only those.

  • The same two options (UI or Batch) apply.
  • All selected files must be on the same page.


Migrate via Batch (Quick Start)

Use this option to skip the Search step.

  • Just apply your filter conditions and click Migrate via Batch.
  • Apex batch job will run in the background.
  • No need to stay on the screen.
  • Results will be emailed.
  • Max file size supported: 8.5 MB


Important Notes

  • UI migration supports all file sizes, but you must keep the screen open.
  • Batch migration is limited to files ≤ 8.5 MB.
  • Notifications are only sent if the checkbox is selected and email addresses are entered.
