If you receive this error while completing the configuration for the Mass File Migrate app (specifically when clicking the “Authorize” button), follow the steps below to resolve it:
Scenario 1:
- Ensure that you have completed all configuration steps correctly as mentioned in the configuration guide: Mass File Migrate Configuration Guide
- Perform the “Match Production Licenses” step.
- To do this:
- Go to Setup → Company Information
- Click the “Match Production Licenses” button. This will sync your sandbox licenses with your production licenses without requiring a full refresh.
- Once this is complete, please attempt the authorization process again by clicking the "Authorize" button in the Mass File Migrate app.

Scenario 2:
If you still face this error, make sure you are a Standard System Administor or you have "Approve Uninstalled Connected Apps" permission, and then try to authorize.
Scenario 3:
We have also seen Edge Browser scenarios in Sandbox environments where the permission "Approve Uninstalled Connected Apps" is missing from the profiles and cannot be granted, in such scenario the system admins are advised to click the "Match Production Licenses to Sandbox” button on the Company Information page.
