If you receive this error while completing the configuration for the Metadata Search app (specifically when clicking the “Authorize” button), follow the steps below to resolve it:
- Ensure that you have completed all configuration steps correctly as mentioned in the configuration guide: Metadata Search Configuration Guide
- Perform the “Match Production Licenses to Sandbox without a Refresh” step.
- To do this:
- Go to Setup → Company Information
- Click the “Match Production Licenses” button. This will sync your sandbox licenses with your production licenses without requiring a full refresh.

- Once this is complete, please attempt the authorization process again by clicking the "Authorize" button in the Metadata Search app.
