If you receive this error while completing the configuration for the Metadata Search app (specifically when clicking the “Authorize” button), follow the steps below to resolve it:

  1. Ensure that you have completed all configuration steps correctly as mentioned in the configuration guide: Metadata Search Configuration Guide
  2. Perform the “Match Production Licenses to Sandbox without a Refresh” step.
  3. To do this:
    • Go to Setup → Company Information
    • Click the “Match Production Licenses” button. This will sync your sandbox licenses with your production licenses without requiring a full refresh.
    • Once this is complete, please attempt the authorization process again by clicking the "Authorize" button in the Metadata Search app.
