Orphan Cloud Documents can now be created when Cloud Document records are synced from Azure Blob to Salesforce and no corresponding parent record is found.
They may also be created when files related to objects such as EmailMessage—for which a lookup cannot be established on the Cloud Document object—are uploaded or migrated.
