The SDRM is a newly introduced custom object that stores the mapping between Source Org Record IDs and Destination Org Record IDs during migration.
These records need to be created in the source org before starting the migration process for object on which standard mapping using external Id field in destination org does not apply.
SDRM handles scenarios where External ID fields in destination org cannot be created, such as:
- FeedItem (Chatter posts)
- ContentFolder (File Library folders)
It ensures accurate file mapping between source and destination records.
SDRM supports both:
- Standard objects (including restricted ones)
- Custom objects
